The 74th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally was a great time to connect with the motorcycle community in a fun and festive way.

Each year bikers descend on the small town of Sturgis, South Dakota for the annual motorcycle gathering. They’ve been doing it for a long time. Seventy-four years and counting. This year, I’m told, brought over 400,00 visitors to this small town. Next year they expect a million people to attend.

It’s been a few years since I visited Sturgis for the Rally that attracts bikers and riders from around the world. Last time I was there it was to show my art. This year I went in support of my friend and artisan Steve Soffa. Steve creates beautiful timepieces and jewelry and has been showing at Sturgis for the last ten years the famous One-Eyed Jack’s Saloon. This year he set up shop at two locations – One-EyedJacks and at the Easyriders Saloon.

I love the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. It is an event like no other. Countless custom motorcycles and interesting people make this one memorable event like no other. And while I was busy working with Steve I tried to snap some fun pics whenever I got a chance. This post is more about sharing those with you than telling the story. After all, if every picture is worth a thousand words, then Wiki has nothing on us. Enjoy…
